Job description

The Telecom fitter is responsible for installing equipment (radios, lines, antennas, optical fiber, ...) and mobile telecom structures (cellular telephony). This work can be done in towers, on roofs and in industrial or commercial buildings. The job requires working outdoors and traveling throughout Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes).

We are currently looking for candidates with or without experience in different regions such as MONTREAL (north shore and south shore), MAURICIE, QUEBEC, etc. to fill available positions.

For FREE, we offer the training, no diploma is required with the exception of certification for the General Health and Safety on Construction Sites course from ASP-Construction. We'll train you on working at heights, telecom equipment installation and more!

General skills

The candidate must have good skills for manual work. The Telecom fitter handles many hand and power tools.  He/she must have good manual dexterity in order to make often delicate connections and hookups.

The candidate must be comfortable working at heights to perform vertical and horizontal movements in steel or wood structures. The Telecom fitter performs the vast majority of his duties at heights. Occasionally, he may also be required to be in full suspension in the air.

In addition, since our organization currently covers all of Eastern Canada, the candidate must be mobile and able to travel Monday to Friday (possibility of 10 consecutive days) to perform the work.

Hiring requirements

  • Class 5 driver's license
  • Certification of the General Health and Safety on Construction Sites course (ASP-Construction)
